Rockstar studio brings cases from LA Noire into the virtual reality
The neo-noir adventure LA Noire comes into virtual reality – at least in part. The GTA developer Rockstar announces that seven cases from the original game especially for VR to be prepared. On November 14th LA Noire: The VR Casefiles will be released for the HTC Vive . On this date a new edition for the Xbox One , Xbox One X , PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch will be available.
LA Noire: The VR Case Files comes for HTC Vive
LA Noire originally appeared in 2011 exclusively for the PlayStation 3 , but was later implemented for the Xbox 360 and the PC . According to Wikipedia , the developers can look forward to about five million sold copies of the gloomy Adventures. The game is based on the genre of film noir and plays in Los Angeles shortly after the Second World War. As police officer Cole Phelps one must be in the Philip-Marlowe- style criminal cases. For this, one goes on track search and questioned witnesses, in order finally to convict the offender. The game received mainly positive criticism, especially the technically very elaborate facial animations impressed. According to Rockstar , 32 video cameras were used and 300 terabytes of data were needed to capture the facial expressions for the digitization.
With LA Noire: The VR Casefiles , the studio behind the hit series Grand Theft Auto is making its first attempts at virtual reality. It should not be a simple implementation of the original. Rockstar promises to have newly developed the seven selected cases specifically for VR.
