The Gallery: Heart of the Emberstone for Vive, Rift and PSVR
The VR adventure The Gallery – Call of the Starseed appeared in 2016 and led the players into an immersive sci-fi world. The title of the title was very well received and was awarded the best performance at the Cinequest Film & VR Festival 2017. Now there is good news for friends of the game, because the successor, The Gallery – Episode 2: Heart of the Emberstone, is about to appear on October 18th. In addition, an adaptation for the PlayStation VR (PSVR) is planned, for which the developers want feedback from PSVR owners.
The second episode The Gallery: Heart of the Emberstone from the developer studio Cloudhead Games starts where its predecessor stops. Armed with your magical glove, which allows you to travel through time and space and give you telekinetic abilities, you will face new challenges. So you are now traveling to the alien planet of Amber, where you can again reveal mysterious secrets.
The second part is heavily inspired by sci-fi fantasy films from the 80s and lets you explore the world in a first-person perspective. However, this time, the game world is supposed to be much more open, giving the developers more freedom. They also promise a longer playing time of four to six hours.
To celebrate the upcoming release, The Gallery – Episode 1: Call of the Starseed, is currently available for $9.99 on Steam. The second part, The Gallery: Heart of the Emberstone for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, is about to appear on Steam on October 18th, and cost about $29.99.
Feedback from PSVR owners
Also for console friends there are good news, because according to the developers there is planed an adaptation of the title for PlayStation VR (PSVR). However, since this involves a lot of effort, they ask PSVR owners to post their opinion in the forum. If there are enough interested people, more resources are apparently put into the development to speed up the process. This is valid not only for the new episode, but also for its predecessor.
