Atlas Obscura VR allows you to travel to other places
Within the VR experience Atlas Obscura VR, you can travel to fascinating places and learn interesting stories and receive information there. There are also hidden, interactive goodies and secrets in the places to be discovered. The first season includes a total of three different places, namely the Winchester House in the USA, the Temples of Damanhur in Italy as well as the salt mines of Salina Turda in Romania. Each of these places should be able to captivate the explorers for more than 15 minutes.
The Temple of Damanhur is located in the Italian Alps, where a spiritual community has lived for more than 40 years. These guide you in the digital version through the temple, which reveals some interactive and hidden secrets. So you can find hidden chests or teach plants singing.
The salt mines of Slaina Turda are located in the deep underground of Romania. The origins can be dated back to the year 1070. The ancient mine is correspondingly mysterious and offers a lot to discover. So you can call into the deep shafts to hear your echo back, collect old relics or float on a subsoil.
The Winchester House includes stories about American culture and history and has existed since 1800. There, the user finds hidden secret doors, twisted gardens and can even meet former residents in ghost form.
The developers want to add more places and articles with new information every month. Atlas Obscura VR is available free of charge for Samsung Gear VR at the Oculus Store.
